Union Minister Babul Supriyo Tweets In Support Of Hardik Pandya-KL Rahul, Calls Diana Edulji's Thinking ‘Fossil’
While Hardik Pandya-KL Rahul stand replaced in the Indian squad, Union Minister Babul Supriyo has backed the two. In fact, he went on to target Diana Edulji
In striking contrast to the barrage of criticism that Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul have received in the wake of their objectionable statements against women on Koffee With Karan 6 is Union Minister, Babul Supriyo’s opinion on the matter. He has taken to Twitter and penned a couple of messages terming Diana Edulji’s thinking ‘fossil’.
The politician wrote, “With due & utter respect to Diana Edulji & her contribution to Indian cricket, May I say that her thinking has got ‘fossil’ to contemplate such extreme steps•What Hardik said is deplorable but, there has to be some prudence in the way such senior minds handle the young ones.”
The second tweet read, “2/2:There is ‘Thick’ line between reprimanding someone and destroying them !! My plea to these seniors : please behave your ages gentlemen & ladies.. Rest my case @hardikpandya7 @klrahul11 @BCCI #CoffeeWithKaran #Seniors&Prudence #GuidanceWithoutCruelty pic.twitter.com/uF4BxMRQp3.”

A while ago, we told you that Hardik and KL Rahul have been replaced and Vijay Shankar-Shubhman Gill are flying out to Australia. Yesterday, SpotboyE.com had brought you exclusively that Edulji had written a letter to the Chief of COA, Vinod Rai, requesting that the CEO Rahul Johri should be not included in the panel of the inquiry committee (formed to look into Hardik and KL Rahul’s case) because Johri was called out in the #MeToo controversy by a female author and faces grave sexual allegations. Edulji is, mind you, the only female member in the BCCI.
It all began when Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul appeared on Koffee With Karan 6 last week. The duo, particularly Hardik, was called out for his misogynistic statements. While the former did apologise for his conduct, BCCI issued show cause notices to them and asked them for an explanation. As the heat refused to die down, Hotstar pulled the episode down. Clearly, the controversy is far from over.
